Dear Bain Community,
We have several exciting updates and important reminders to share with you:
- School Attendance Survey
We are looking for your feedback on school attendance. If you have a moment, please take a few minutes to complete this survey: Attendance Survey. Your input is greatly appreciated! - Boys Soccer Team Victory
A big congratulations to our boys soccer team and coach for capturing the 2024 City Cup! We are all so proud of your incredible accomplishment. Well done, Knights! - Vocabulary Word of the Week: "Inundated"
Our school-wide vocabulary word this week is inundated. We encourage students and staff to use this word as much as possible in classrooms and assignments. Let’s make it a challenge to work this word into our conversations! - Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
This past Friday, we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month, and the event was a huge success! A special thank you to all the students and staff who contributed to making it a memorable day. - Lunch Milk Payments Reminder
Parents, please be aware that milk is $0.50 per carton. If you're receiving calls or emails about lunch money balances and your child brings lunch from home, it’s possible the charges are from milk purchases. If you’d like your child to continue buying milk, here are two payment options: - Option 1: Send a check or money order made out to "Cranston Public Schools." Include your child’s ID number and "lunch money" in the memo. Place it in an envelope and have your child drop it off at the school’s main office.
- Option 2: Create a My School Bucks account (link below) to monitor and add funds. Please note that fees apply when adding funds, so checks/money orders may be more cost-effective for some.
- Cranston West Open House
Cranston West’s Open House will take place on November 4, 2024, from 6:00–8:00 PM. We encourage all families to attend! - Perfect Attendance Celebration
Two weeks ago, we celebrated over 200 students with perfect attendance for the first month of school! Congratulations to all, and let’s continue striving to improve our attendance numbers! - Wear Pink Day – Breast Cancer Awareness
On October 16, 2024, we will be holding Wear Pink Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to purchase small items during lunch, with proceeds going toward the cause. - Cranston East Band & Instruments
If you are interested in participating in the band or learning an instrument at Cranston East, please check out the flyer that was shared for more information. - STAR Math Improvement Recognition
Last week, we honored over 250 students who showed significant improvement in their STAR Math scores! Congratulations to all of them for their hard work and dedication!
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school community!
