Science Curriculum

In sixth grade, we will investigate the world around us, focusing on such topics as: mirrors; temperature; hail; mountains; tsunamis; and the process of healing.

In seventh grade, we will investigate further, focusing on such topics as: Bath-bombs; Meals, Ready to Eat (MRE's); Sickness; What's in Food; Orangutans; and Flooding and Droughts.

By looking into these specific phenomenon we will begin to learn how the world around us works to get a deeper understanding of the scientific principles and their importance in our daily lives.

The subject of science is so broad and open to include everything; EVERYTHING!!! I like to say that science is using all the other subjects to learn how the world works.  Which means in my class you can expect to be writing even though it isn't English class, calculating data even though it isn't math class, reading about past events even though it isn't social studies, and even drawing models even though you're not in art! Which means that no matter your favorite subject, there is a part of science you will be guaranteed to love!
