WELCOME to Ms. Orabone's sixth-grade English class! Think of ELA this year as the "mental-gym" that will strengthen your child’s reading, writing, and public speaking skills.
Your Shining Stars have already participated in several successful Writing Workshops, sharpening their skills in reading comprehension, writing text-based responses, journal-blasts and peer-reviews through the Studysync program. They will also soon start preparing and presenting Book-Talks in class.

REMEMBER
Check your child’s school materials. All students should consistently be carrying a teacher-approved, independent novel to read for English class.
